Time Go's Bye

Tue Aug 28, 2007, 3:57 PM
Well I haven’t been posting much of late because I’m sort of trying to get a documentary project going so I’m putting a lot of my energy and photography time into that will start to post some of that work soon!!

Had an amazing experience last week, I went to see the Cross Sections exhibition in Ballarat by documentary photographer Charles Page it was an amazing experience and I encourage anyone whose near Ballarat to go cheek it out.
The more amazing part of the story though is that he has a selection of photos on trains and there was one specific peace entitled Maldon 1972 (for some reason on his website the same photo is entitled South Australia 1970?) anyway the house in the photo looked a little familiar so after the exhibition I bought his book with the images in it and took it home to show mum. Turns out it’s the house my mum grew up in as a kid and a house I have many fond memories of. Unfortunately the house was burnt down shortly after my grandparents moved out of it a few years back. It’s just so amazing how small this world of ours can feel some time.

The image is posted here [link]

By the way we also think the boy in the left hand corner of the photo is my uncle cool hay!
